Why the shape matters

It never touches your eyes.

Flat masks press on your lashes, smudge your night skincare, and leak light at the nose. The moulded shell holds the silk away from your face entirely, blackout without contact. If you wear lash extensions, this is the difference between a mask you tolerate and one you forget you're wearing.

Questions parents ask

Before you decide.

A $10 mask is flat polyester that presses on your eyes and leaks at the nose. This is 6A-grade mulberry silk at 23 momme, heavier than nearly anything else on the market, in a moulded shell that touches your brow and cheekbones, never your eyes. If a flat mask has never bothered you, save the money. If you've abandoned one at 2am, this is why.

The strap is adjustable and sits low around the back of the head rather than across the ears, which is what makes most masks migrate. The shell's light grip on the brow and cheekbones keeps it seated through side-sleeping. Set the strap snug but not tight on the first night and it holds.

This is the exact problem the 3D shell exists to solve. The silk floats above your lash line with clear space, so extensions stay unbent and serums and creams stay where you put them, not on the inside of a mask.

The contour is shaped to seal along the nose bridge, the leak point on every flat mask. Faces vary, so "true blackout" honestly depends on fit: adjust the strap and seat the nose curve properly and the room disappears, including for daytime sleep.

Silk is naturally temperature-regulating, it sheds heat rather than trapping it, which is why it's the only material worth wearing on your face for eight hours. The contour also keeps an air gap over your eyes instead of pressing fabric against them.

Customer Reviews

My last mask slid around every time I rolled over. This one stays put, nothing presses on my eyelids, and it held up in a stupidly bright hotel room. I use it at home now too.

Nothing touches your eyelids at all. The cups are the whole point. The pouch gets used more than I expected.

When the sun comes up early it's the seal around the nose that does the work. The eye cups won me over. Had one question and customer service sorted it fast.

The pouch is handy and the mask itself feels well made, but it moved around so much during the night that I kept having to fix it. For the price I expected the fit to be the strong point.

Works a treat against the street light that comes through our blinds.
